Colorado Scenery

I had an awesome time while in Colorado. We spent a week in Ouray which is a old small mining town that's know for it's ice climbing competitions in the winter and it's Jeep trails in the summer. On my way back into town after traveling over Imogen Pass we saw the most beautiful rainbow and luckily I had my camera.

A great day for a race (Stoopid 50 - State College, PA)

I couldn't of asked for a better day to photograph a race. This was a brutal 50 mile course that beat up and battered all of the racers. I originally just planned to go for a ride and meet my friends at the race. Fortunately, I was able to get to the finish with my equipment before the racers came through. Unfortunately, I didn't have bug spray and they were driving me crazy. Here's a few photos of my friends that raced that day.

Amish Country - What a beautiful place...

I've been having so much fun shooting in the country side of the Amish farms. The land is alway so rich with color and untouched. I've found it's not the kind of place where you go for a couple of minutes and get your shot. This is something that you need to spend all day and hope you come out with one or two great pictures because it's all about timing and light of day.

A New Set of Toys

I just got my new camera equipment yesterday. I took advantage of the tax return to update my equipment to the new Nikon D300. The camera is an absolute horse and I should be able to win a couple of races with this baby. My overall goal is to break into the Race Events this summer. My passion is in Cycling and Lancaster County is a good place to be for that...

Going Pro Again in Photography

I have to tell you that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't wish I stuck with photography as my main profession. I always felt my training was lacking and I was always going to be second best in the profession but now things have changed. I am now able to get all the online training I need and my photography is better than ever. The only problem is now is getting back up to speed with pro equipment. That is a painful bullet to bite. If I was bringing in enough side money to justify the cost I wouldn't certainly have a problem buying the equipment. So what come first the chicken or the egg. I've been doing as much marketing as I can within my current means but most of my work is solely grass roots. My goal would be to reach 10 weddings this year and 20 next. If I can get 20 wedding on the books for next year I could possible slip back to being pro once again......Stay tuned

New Years Day

Well, it's a brand new year and a brand new start for my photography career. I'm planning on shooting twice as many weddings as I did last year. I'm hoping to completely transform my style, my equipment and my overall success. I've taken a lot of time to plan this transformation so I'm hoping to be rewarded with a little hard work.....
